£25k to £35k Plus Bonus and Benefits
Perl Developer needed, as part of the web development team, you will have the opportunity to work in a demanding and dynamic multi-language web environment, helping to promote the benefits of my client and its products. The position will primarily involve developing applications in Object-Oriented Perl for the team supporting my client`s website. This is an excellent opportunity to improve your skills within an industry-leading company in the Security sector.
You must be well-motivated and organised as well as fast, accurate, creative and able to meet strict deadlines. You will be skilled in developing Object-Oriented Perl applications to specification, working as part of a team. You must have the ability to specify, plan, code, document and test your own Object-Oriented Perl applications unaided. You should have a good understanding of the Unix environment and the ability to develop for Unix operating systems. In addition to working with other developers, you will also liaise with designers, editors and project managers. You will bring solutions, ideas and unique abilities to the role.
To be considered for the role you must have excellent ability with Perl and experience of developing Object-Oriented systems. Additionally you will need some experience in Unix system administration skills
Experience of developing multi-language applications, Experience of developing database-driven web applications, Experience of programming within an Apache*mod_perl environment.
